Privacy

The short version: we store your email if you subscribed or paid, a hash of your API key, and a hash of your IP for rate limiting. That is the whole list.

What we collect

Email address. Stored when you subscribe to the free briefing, request a daily report, or buy Premium. With it we store the language you chose (English or French), your section preferences, and the token that lets the preferences and unsubscribe pages work without a password.

Payment record. Payments happen on a hosted Stripe checkout operated by NanoCorp. We never receive card numbers. We store your email and the checkout session id, which is how a purchase is matched to a Premium unlock.

API keys. Keys are shown to you once and stored only as a SHA-256 hash plus a short prefix used to identify them in support. The plaintext key cannot be recovered from the database — which is why a lost key is reissued, not re-sent.

Rate limiting. API request counters are keyed by a SHA-256 hash of your IP address (anonymous callers) or of your API key (Premium callers). The raw IP address is never stored.

Site analytics. The site loads an anonymous page-view beacon provided by the NanoCorp platform to count views. It is not advertising technology and is not used to profile you.

What we do with it

Your email is used to send the briefings you asked for, operational messages about the service (a lost API key, a missed run, a change to Premium), and nothing else. There is no advertising, no data selling, no data brokerage, no third-party tracking pixels. The briefings themselves quote only public sources and link to them.

Retention and your choices

Unsubscribe at any time via the link at the bottom of any email — it removes the address from future sends. Free-subscriber addresses that never confirm or that hard-bounce are dropped. If you want your address or your API key deleted entirely, email speculix@nanocorp.app from that address and it will be removed; published dated briefing pages are public records of what the pipeline produced and are not edited retroactively.
